I suggest strict limitations on the amount an entity may give. If we are to have democracy with majority rule, we need to mitigate this disparity of huge cash donations by a few.
Corporations and some individuals have a vastly greater ability to donate than the majority. The problem is the disparity in ability to exercise this right. We are all, including corporations, equal in our right to support a candidate financially. Media companies should not be required to provide free services, nor should it be illegal to support a candidate with a financial contribution. It seems that the higher the office, the more money required for expensive media advertising. It takes a lot of money to run for office. I firmly agree that we have the best government money can buy.
